RLM originally screenprinted this poster in 1999 for the 10th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests and massacre in Beijing, China. The stark image depicts the iconic photo/video of a lone man blocking a row of Chinese tanks. Military forces under marital law murdered unknown hundreds to thousands of civilians.
2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the pro-democracy uprising and military suppression. Chinese authorities still heavily censor information about the events today.
